Selected Work

Director’s NoteThese are just some of my favorite projects I’ve worked on, from original YouTube series to branded content featuring some of the country’s most elite athletes, to sitting down with presidents, comedians and cultural icons. From script to storyboard, production and editing, each one took a different approach to getting the message in front of an audience. Different projects, different challenges, and all of them earned a place on my shelf.

Upcoming Project

A four-part docuseries directed by Jay Chaudhry

Director’s NoteI’ve known Billy Dib for years, but this series gave me a chance to understand the man beyond the fighter. Still Standing is not even about boxing. It’s about what happens when the crowds disappear, the gloves come off, and life gives you fights you never trained for. Across four episodes, we look back at Billy’s career, his life outside the ring, and the battles that ultimately came to define him far more than any championship ever could.

Augmented Studios

Original films. New worlds. A new way of making them.

I created Augmented Studios in Toronto to push what’s possible when traditional filmmaking meets generative AI. Its first original is AUGMENTED, a micro-series following one man as he moves between realities, eras and versions of his own life. Every episode is a new world and a new experiment in AI filmmaking, built with real direction, craft and storytelling.

The Episodes

  1. Captain

AI filmmaker and director Jay Chaudhry recreates a defining era in the life of Imran Khan, before politics, when the cricket captain was already becoming something larger than sport.

Captain combines cinematic AI, historical recreation and documentary realism to explore ambition, legacy and the early hints of the path that would follow.

  2. The Lost World of Tartaria

With The Lost World of Tartaria, director Jay Chaudhry uses AI filmmaking to visualize a civilization that feels simultaneously historical, mythical and forgotten.

Massive architecture, atmospheric world-building and cinematic scale turn an internet mystery into a fully realized visual world built for the screen.

  3. The Mandela Effect

AI filmmaker Jay Chaudhry takes one of the internet’s strangest cultural phenomena and turns it into cinematic science fiction.

The Mandela Effect blends CERN-inspired environments, grounded performances and hyper-realistic AI filmmaking to ask a simple question with unsettling implications: what if reality changed, but only some of us remembered?

Director’s NoteI’ve been fascinated by CERN for years, and I didn’t want to recreate the usual examples we’ve all seen online. I wanted to build a real world around the theory: take the audience underground, inside CERN, and create a moment real enough to make you question it for a second. The challenge was blending real science, real locations and real theories with complete fiction without losing the cinematic realism. It’s also one of the longest dialogue scenes in AUGMENTED so far.

  4. The First Encounter

The First Encounter is director Jay Chaudhry’s cinematic AI interpretation of humanity confronting something it has never seen before.

Using photorealistic AI filmmaking, science-fiction production design and restrained visual storytelling, the film treats first contact not as spectacle, but as a quiet, unnerving moment between two worlds.

  5. The First Flight

AI filmmaker and director Jay Chaudhry reimagines the impossible moment before human flight became history.

The First Flight blends cinematic AI filmmaking, period storytelling and photorealistic world-building to explore the obsession, doubt and imagination behind one of humanity’s greatest breakthroughs.

  6. The Hunter Gatherer

Director Jay Chaudhry uses AI filmmaking to push prehistoric cinema into something raw, immersive and strangely human.

The Hunter Gatherer combines hyper-realistic characters, an ancient wilderness and visual storytelling to imagine a world where survival, instinct and curiosity collide.

Director’s NoteI’ve always wondered about the people who lived long before us: their voices, their languages, the things they understood that we don’t. So I built an ancient world from nothing, with cinematic environments, consistent characters, controlled performances and IMAX-scale visuals, and an entirely fictional prehistoric language no AI model could recognize. With no English for the technology to interpret, I invented the language phonetically, defined the emotion behind every line, and directed each performance through expression, rhythm and body language alone.

  7. Time Theory

In Time Theory, AI filmmaker Jay Chaudhry steps inside the world of Albert Einstein, using cinematic AI, character-driven storytelling and period filmmaking to turn one of history’s biggest minds into something intimate and alive.

Less history lesson, more cinematic encounter with the man behind the ideas that changed how we understand reality.

  8. The Greatest

Jay Chaudhry brings the energy and swagger of another era back to life in The Greatest, an AI-directed cinematic experiment inspired by the electricity surrounding Muhammad Ali.

Built through AI filmmaking, period recreation and documentary-style camera language, the film explores presence, confidence and what it feels like when one person completely owns the room.

About

I’m a Toronto-based director and producer working across sports, entertainment, branded content and new media. My career has taken me from traditional film sets and commercial productions to creating work with some of the biggest athletes, personalities and brands in the world.

I’ve worked across nearly every part of production, from directing and producing to cinematography, editing and post. That experience shaped how I approach every project today: start with a strong idea, surround it with the right creative, and make something people actually want to watch.

Most recently, I launched Augmented Studios, a new creative studio built around the collision of traditional filmmaking and generative AI. It’s opened up an entirely new canvas for me as a filmmaker, allowing me to create worlds, characters and original films that would have once required enormous crews and budgets.

The technology is new. The reason I make things isn’t. I still just want to make cool shit people remember.
